A positive path for spiritual living

Daring Greatly - It's not the critic who counts

In this 4 week workshop at Unity Kitchener, facilitated by Mel Horvath-Lucid, we will be exploring the works of Brene Brown. Some may choose to read her book, Daring Greatly and others may choose to come and participate in this engaging and interactive workshop, independent of reading the book.

Here's what you can expect.

  • Monday May 4th, 7pm: The Power of Vulnerability
  •  Monday May 11th, 7pm: The Anatomy of Trust
  •  Monday May 25th, 7pm: Boundaries, Empathy and Compassion
  •  Monday June 1st, 7pm: Healing Shame

We will begin promptly at 7pm.  We will open the evening with a reading, gathering circle and check in (Tea and light snack served)

We will watch a Brene Brown video on a pre-determined topic, check each week for the topic.  Usually between 15-30 minutes in length.

We will have a workshop portion facilitated by Mel and discussion following the video to share thoughts, insights and ideas, with all in the group having the option to pass or share with an appreciative inquiry style of facilitation.

We will check out, closing words and closing circle.  8:30-9pm.

This will be a closed group, after the first session to allow for deeper conversation, progression, discussion and connection.

During the week, you have the option to sign up for emails from Mel, that further share on the topic from the previous week and offer questions, poetry and short videos for reflection and consideration.
