1854 Charles Fimore born Aug. 22 in St. Cloud Minnesota
1876 Charles met Myrtle
1881 Charles and Myrtle wed
1882 First son born - Lowell Fillmore

Fillmores move to Kansas City, MO
Second son born - Rickert Fillmore

Charles and Myrtle attended a New Thought Lecture by Dr. E.B. Weeks
and Myrtle accepted the new ideas as a way of healing her illness
Myrtle Fillmore's relevation of Truth - "I am a child of God and therefore
I do not inherit sickness" (She was healed!)

Charles had a dream that foretold his work in Kansas City. He studied
religions and philosophies
1888 Myrtle was completely healed

Third son born - Royal Fillmore
Fillmores organize a Truth Movement. The Birth of Unity is marked with
the first issue of Modern Thought published by Charles and Myrtle

Kitchener Science of Mind Incorported as a Church of Religious Science with 60
members as recorded in The Vanguard - Centre's monthly publication

July - Ronel Sinstead, Board of Directors and Rev. Jim Sherman meet to change
Science of Mind Centre to Unity Centre of Practical Christianity. Rev. Jim Sherman
promises to provide Teachers and Ministers for weekly Sunday services at Kitchener
Unity Centre, among them, Rev. Jim Sherman, Rev. Ed Rabil and LUT Mildred
Kennedy. Services were held at the YMCA
August - Ronel Sinstead enters the Ministerial Education Program at Unity Village, MO
The Reverands John and Jo Harris become the first Unity Ministers to serve Unity
Centre in Kitchener
1978
"Associated" Minister Rev. Maraget Conn (Muffie) comes to Kitchener
1979
Unity Centre of Practical Christianity was incorporated and attained full Church status
in the Unity Movement
Rev. Ronel Sinstead ordained
1980 Present building at 2631 Kingsway Dr. purchased under the direction of Rev.'s John
and Jo Harris. Dedicated February 1981
