Building Front

Unity Centre occupies 5500 square feet in a free-standing building on Kingsway Drive, Kitchener. Our main floor sanctuary was renovated in 2003. It seats up to 150, uses overhead projection, amplified sound and is handicap accessible. (For anyone with hearing challenges, Listening Assistance Devices are available in the lobby.) At the rear of the sanctuary is our prayer box. Also on the main floor is a multi-purpose lobby, servery and bathroom. In the lobby is the “Chapters and Verse” our metaphysical bookstore with a wide variety of Unity and other new thought books, coat racks and information table. This area is a favorite for socializing and for small groups meetings. On the lower level is the Frog Pond, our metaphysical lending library containing hundreds of books and tapes which may be borrowed at no charge. Also on the lower level are two rooms for children's church, a storage area and an additional bathroom. On the upper level is a spectacular Prayer room. The activities in the sanctuary can be heard and viewed from the prayer room so this room also serves as a family room during Sunday service for those with small children. Also on the upper floor, there is a food servery, small meeting room, and offices for the minister, chaplains and administration.

A small parking lot is conveniently located behind the building. On the blacktop of the parking lot is a Labyrinth which is open to public use. To accommodate Sunday parking, we utilize the Dare Foods parking lot to the west of the Centre. Beyond the parking lot is a garden area. There are three flower beds of perennials which have been created by congregation. Beyond the flower beds is a community garden operated by the Kingsdale Neighborhood Group.
